Oil Light
This indicates that your oil is low or there is no oil pressure. Check your oil level and add oil if needed. Start the car and check if light turns off. If the oil light is still on, have your car towed to your repair shop. |

Check Engine Light
Car’s computer indicates a fault in the electrical system or engine. If you feel no difference in the performance then it’s ok to drive. Bring to shop to have the code checked out. If serious problem, vehicle will go into limp mode (this applies to some vehicles). |

Air Bag Light
Air Bag computer indicates there is a fault in the restraint system. It is ok to drive but air bag system will not work in accident. Have the air bags checked by shop. |

Battery Light
There is a problem with the battery or alternator charging system. If the alternator is not charging, battery loses power and car stops working. To avoid getting stranded on the road, bring to shop immediately or have it towed. |

Coolant Light
This indicates that your coolant level is low. Check coolant level when your car is cold. Some vehicles use different types of coolant, check owners manual before you top off fluid. Do not drive when coolant light is on, it may cause the engine to overheat and may damage your engine. |

ABS (antilock brake system) Light
ABS system indicates there is a fault in the system. It’s ok to drive but you will not have your ABS working properly. Bring to shop to have it inspected. |

Washer Light
When light is on, washer level is low. Refill tank with proper washer fluid. Most vehicle washer fluid top cap is blue. |

Brake Light
Check to see if your hand brake (emergency brake) is released or down. Check brake fluid level. Top off fluid if needed and have your brakes checked. |
